Project Results

The first outcome is the creation of “measurement tools” to understand mental well-being and mental health needs in school.

These tools measure and monitor different aspects of mental well-being – support at school and at home, access to support, teacher training, child’s ability to cope with stress and manage emotions, protective factors that improve the likelihood of positive mental health and well-being.

These measurement tools will address each of the 3 basic pillars: TEACHERS and school staff – STUDENTS – PARENTS.

The use of the measurement tools and the expert group work will result in the 12 key mental and emotional health skills.

Based on the results of the measurement tool the consortium develops a didactic toolbox with complementary and additional materials to be used with students (end users),
developing dynamics, games, strategies and methodological resources.

These resources will be put into practice by the teachers with the students paying special attention to their particular needs.

Development of the toolbox will be linked to the development of emotional skills in learners,
positive mental health, reducing stigma, coping skills, self-care skills.

SMILING MIND

(Workshops)

The main results is the creation of a program (Allyship at School) to create alliances in the school that trains the pillars of the integral approach (TEACHERS and School Staff- STUDENTS – PARENTS) to take real action and build a school that promotes emotional and mental health.

The creation of alliances is essential to promote a culture that is committed to mental and emotional health as well as an educational objective.

Through this program, teachers, students and parents or caregivers will carry out different workshops on the promotion of mental health.
